Delete your account
You're in control of your data. Delete your LawyerGo account at any time — directly in the app, or by request. Here's exactly how it works and what happens to your information.
1. Delete in the app (fastest)
You can permanently delete your account yourself, in a few taps:
- Open LawyerGo and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Profile (or Profile on the web).
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Your account and personal profile are removed immediately, and you're signed out on all devices.
2. Request by email
Prefer not to use the app? Email [email protected] from the email or phone number on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll verify it's you and process the request — no reason required.
3. What gets deleted
When you delete your account we permanently remove, or irreversibly anonymise:
- Your profile — name, phone number, email, photo, languages and country.
- Your verification details and uploaded documents.
- Your firm memberships and availability postings.
- Your task drafts, bids, saved searches, notifications and messages tied to your identity.
4. What we must retain
For legal, accounting and safety reasons we keep a limited set of records, separated from your identity where possible, for as long as the law requires:
- Audit logs and records of conduct disputes, to protect other users and meet professional-conduct obligations.
- Records required by tax, accounting or anti-fraud law.
- Information we are legally ordered to preserve.
These records are not used to re-identify you or to market to you.
5. Timeline
In-app deletion is immediate for your profile. Any backups and residual copies are purged within 30 days. Email requests are completed within 30 days of verification. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.
