Terms of Service
The agreement between you and LawyerGo when you use our platform to delegate or accept legal tasks.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using LawyerGo, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. If you use LawyerGo on behalf of a firm, you confirm you are authorised to bind that firm.
2. Eligibility & verification
LawyerGo is for practising lawyers holding a valid bar registration in their jurisdiction. You must provide accurate verification information and keep it current. We may suspend accounts we cannot verify or that provide false information.
3. Our role
LawyerGo is a marketplace that connects lawyers. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal services, legal advice, or representation. Any engagement, including its scope, fees, and professional responsibility, is solely between the lawyers and clients involved in a task.
4. Lawyer obligations
- Perform accepted tasks competently, lawfully, and within the agreed scope and deadline.
- Maintain your licence, insurance, and good standing with your bar.
- Comply with the professional and ethical rules of every relevant jurisdiction.
- Communicate promptly and disclose any conflict of interest.
5. Client obligations
When delegating a task, you must describe it accurately, provide necessary documents and authority, fund the agreed amount, and respond to reasonable requests so the task can be completed.
6. Fees — the platform is free
LawyerGo is completely free to use. We charge no commission, no subscription and no per-task fee, and we never hold, process or transfer any payment.
Any fee for a task is agreed and settled directly between the lawyers involved, off-platform, under their own professional fee rules. LawyerGo is not a party to that arrangement, is not a payment processor, and never receives or holds funds. There is no escrow.
7. Cancellations
You can cancel or withdraw from a task in line with the terms you agreed with the other lawyer. Because LawyerGo never holds any money, there is nothing for us to refund — any financial arrangement, including cancellation terms, is settled directly between the parties.
8. Confidentiality & conflicts
You must keep all client and case information confidential and use it only to perform the task. Built-in NDAs and conflict checks apply, but you remain responsible for clearing conflicts under your own professional rules before accepting work.
9. Prohibited conduct
- Circumventing the platform to avoid fees after a match is made.
- Misrepresenting your credentials, identity, or availability.
- Uploading unlawful content or misusing another user's data.
- Interfering with the security or operation of the platform.
10. Liability & disclaimers
The platform is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, LawyerGo is not liable for the acts, omissions, or quality of work of any lawyer or client, nor for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, or to comply with law. Obligations relating to confidentiality, payment, and liability survive termination.
12. App stores (Apple & Google)
If you download the LawyerGo app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you also agree to that store's terms. This agreement is between you and LawyerGo only — not with Apple or Google, who are not responsible for the app or for providing support.
For Apple devices: Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support; to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no warranty obligation, and any claims relating to the app are directed to LawyerGo. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them. You confirm you are not located in a US-embargoed country or on a US prohibited-parties list, and you will comply with applicable export and usage rules.
13. Operator & governing law
LawyerGo is operated by Jus Legal, Blaak 34, 3011 TA Rotterdam, Netherlands ([email protected]). These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in advance. You can delete your account at any time — see our account deletion page. Questions? Email [email protected].
