For foreign firms & lawyers

A verified lawyer in Turkey, when your matter reaches it

Turkey sits at the crossroads of Europe, the Middle East and Asia, and foreign firms increasingly find a thread of a matter running through it. When you need someone on the ground in İstanbul, Ankara or İzmir, engage a verified Turkish colleague — and stay the lawyer in charge.

✦ Free for lawyers — no commission, no hidden fees.

Foreign lawyers cannot appear before a Turkish court or act as Turkish counsel — that requires admission to a Turkish bar (baro). The practical way to serve a client whose matter touches Turkey is to delegate the local part to a verified Turkish lawyer, while you keep the client relationship and the overall matter.

LawyerGo is a lawyer-to-lawyer network. Each Turkish lawyer is checked against their bar registration before they can take work, so the colleague you brief is genuinely entitled to act — no cold introductions, no agency in between.

Where foreign firms need Turkish counsel

The work that needs a lawyer in Turkey

From contentious to corporate, these are the tasks foreign firms most often delegate to a verified Turkish colleague.

Litigation & representation

Local representation before a Turkish court — a hearing, an application, or a procedural step that must be taken by an admitted Turkish lawyer.

Enforcement & debt recovery

Enforcing a foreign judgment or arbitral award in Turkey, or pursuing a Turkish debtor through the local enforcement procedure.

Real estate

Title checks, purchase and transfer, and disputes over Turkish property — including matters for foreign owners and inheritance of real estate.

Corporate & commercial

Company formation, local filings, contracts and commercial disputes for businesses operating into or out of Turkey.

Due diligence & local-law opinions

A focused opinion on a point of Turkish law, or local diligence your client needs to rely on for a cross-border decision.

Notarial & registry errands

A signing, an apostille step, or a registry visit that has to be done in person — handled by a verified colleague in the right city.

Why lawyers choose this route

Verified, and on your terms

The risk in finding foreign counsel is trust: is this lawyer really admitted, and can I brief them clearly? LawyerGo profiles show the Turkish bar registration, jurisdiction and languages, so you engage a colleague you can rely on — often working in English, German or Dutch.

You stay responsible for the matter and the client; your Turkish colleague takes responsibility for the local task. Conflicts and confidentiality remain yours to manage, and any fee is agreed directly between you — LawyerGo never takes a cut.

Trust & clarity

What LawyerGo is — and is not

We keep the platform honest by being explicit about how it works and where the legal responsibility sits.

We are not a law firm

LawyerGo is a technology platform that connects lawyers. We do not practise law, represent clients, or provide legal services ourselves.

No legal advice from us

Any legal advice comes from the qualified lawyer you engage — never from LawyerGo. We facilitate the connection, nothing more.

Fees arranged directly

Lawyers agree any fee between themselves and settle it directly. We take no commission, charge no fees, and never hold or move money.

Bar verification required

Every account is checked against its bar or law-society registration before it can post or accept work. Unverified accounts cannot transact.

Your duties stay yours

Client consent, conflict checks, confidentiality, and compliance with your bar rules remain the responsibility of the instructing and receiving lawyer.

Confidential by design

Files and messages are encrypted, engagement-level NDAs apply, and verification documents are visible only to our review officers.

FAQ

Questions, answered

We are a foreign law firm — how do we engage a lawyer in Turkey?
Post the task on LawyerGo with the city and what needs doing. Verified Turkish lawyers (avukat) registered with their local bar respond with proposals. You compare profiles, agree a fee directly, and instruct your chosen colleague while remaining the lawyer on the matter for your client.
Are the Turkish lawyers verified?
Yes. Every lawyer is checked against their bar (baro) registration before they can accept work, and their jurisdiction is shown on their profile. You can confirm admission before you instruct anyone.
Can we work in English, German or Dutch?
Lawyer profiles list languages. Many Turkish lawyers on the network work with foreign firms in English, and given the large communities abroad, German and Dutch are common too. Choose a colleague you can brief comfortably.
Who handles the fee?
You agree the fee directly with the Turkish colleague and settle it between yourselves. LawyerGo charges no commission and never holds or moves money.
Is this a referral marketplace for clients?
No. LawyerGo is strictly lawyer-to-lawyer. Foreign firms and lawyers use it to delegate the Turkish part of a matter to a verified colleague — there is no consumer client directory in between.
