Privacy Policy
How LawyerGo collects, uses, and protects the information of the lawyers and clients who use our platform.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly and information generated as you use LawyerGo:
- Account details — name, phone number, email, and the jurisdiction where you are admitted to practise.
- Verification data — bar registration number, identity documents, and professional credentials used to confirm you are a licensed lawyer.
- Task data — the descriptions, locations, deadlines, documents, and messages you exchange when delegating or accepting work.
- Usage & device data — log data, device identifiers, and approximate location used to operate and secure the service.
2. How we use your information
We use the information to match lawyers with tasks, verify licences, process payments, prevent fraud, provide support, and improve the platform. We do not sell your personal data.
Where required, we rely on your consent, the performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in operating a trusted professional network.
3. Verification & licensing
To keep the network trustworthy, we confirm each lawyer's registration with the relevant bar association. Verification data is processed for this purpose, retained only as long as necessary, and never shown publicly beyond your verified status.
4. Sharing & disclosure
We share information only as needed to deliver the service:
- With the counterpart lawyer or client involved in a task you participate in.
- With payment and identity-verification providers acting on our behalf.
- With authorities when required by law, or to protect users from harm or fraud.
5. Payments
LawyerGo is free and does not process, hold, or transfer any payment. We are not a payment processor and take no fees or commission. Any fees for a task are agreed and settled directly between the lawyers involved, off-platform — so we do not collect or store your payment-card or bank-account details.
6. Data security
Case files and messages are encrypted in transit and at rest. We apply access controls, monitoring, and regular reviews. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you of any incident as required by law.
7. Your rights & deleting your account
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and object to or restrict certain processing. You can permanently delete your account at any time — in the app under Settings → Profile → Delete account, or see our account deletion page. To exercise any other right, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the timeframes set by applicable law.
8. International transfers
LawyerGo operates globally, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data across borders, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses to protect it.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure, and limited analytics cookies to understand how the platform is used. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser or our cookie settings.
10. Children
LawyerGo is a professional network intended only for licensed, practising lawyers and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Who we are & contact
LawyerGo is operated by Jus Legal, the data controller, at Blaak 34, 3011 TA Rotterdam, Netherlands. Questions about this policy or your data? Email [email protected] or [email protected], or reach us through our contact page.
