Free for lawyers: why LawyerGo never touches your money

Most platforms that connect professionals take a cut. LawyerGo doesn't. We charge no commission, no subscription and no per-task fee — the platform is free to use, and we never hold or process money. Any fee for the work is agreed and paid directly between the lawyers involved, exactly as it would be with a colleague you already know.

Why we built it this way

Lawyers already operate inside strict professional and fee rules. Inserting a platform between two regulated professionals and their fee only adds cost and complication. By staying out of the money entirely, we keep the network simple, neutral and free — and you keep 100% of what you charge.

Agreeing the fee

When you take on or delegate a task, settle the commercials the way you always have:

  • Put the scope, fee and deadline in writing before work starts.
  • State the currency and who issues the invoice.
  • Note any disbursements (court fees, courier, translation) and who carries them.

Getting paid across borders

Because the relationship is lawyer-to-lawyer, normal professional invoicing applies. Agree terms up front, invoice directly, and use whatever compliant payment method you both prefer. There is no escrow to wait on and no platform release to chase.

What LawyerGo does instead

We focus on the parts that genuinely help: verifying that the colleague is bar-licensed, surfacing the right person for the jurisdiction, and giving you a clear, real-time record of the task. The money stays where it belongs — between you.
